Project Description

The project focuses on building a modern analytics ecosystem that delivers trusted, actionable insights to clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders. The BI Developer will transform curated data into intuitive, high-performing dashboards and reports, enabling self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making through effective visualization, UX, and governance practices.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain production Tableau dashboards using Snowflake data sources, translating stakeholder requirements into wireframes and production-ready workbooks for executive, operational, and analyst audiences;
  • Create certified and reusable Tableau data sources based on curated Snowflake data marts, selecting between live connections and extracts and managing extract refresh schedules;
  • Write and optimize SQL for custom Tableau data sources, moving data processing and aggregation to Snowflake where appropriate;
  • Analyze dashboard performance using Tableau Performance Recorder and optimize workbooks to improve load times;
  • Publish dashboards and data sources to Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server, managing projects, permissions, subscriptions, alerts, and data source certification;
  • Conduct requirements intake sessions with operations, finance, and clinical leadership and translate business needs into effective BI solutions;
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback, conduct dashboard walkthroughs, and provide light user enablement;
  • Document metric definitions, dashboard logic, and usage guidelines;

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience developing enterprise Business Intelligence and analytics solutions;
  • Expert-level experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, performance optimization, reusable data source development, and Tableau Cloud/Server administration;
  • Strong understanding of BI user experience, dashboard design, and data storytelling;
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the development and optimization of custom Tableau data sources;
  • Experience working with Snowflake as a reporting and analytics platform;
  • Ability to translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;
  • Ability to maintain daily overlap with the US team until at least 12:30 PM Pacific Time;

Nice To Have

  • Experience with dbt, analytics engineering workflows, and data modeling, including dimensional modeling;
  • Experience optimizing Snowflake queries and data pipelines, including performance tuning;
  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and data processing, Python-based data science or ML-workflows;
  • Familiarity with Streamlit for developing internal analytics applications;
  • Experience with Fivetran;
  • Experience with Tableau Prep;
  • Experience with data quality validation, reconciliation, and data governance practices;
  • Experience with event-driven data architectures and AWS data services;
  • Experience with Snowflake Cortex, LLM-powered analytics,
  • Experience building AI-ready data architectures;
  • Experience in healthcare, payer, EMR/EHR, Revenue Cycle Management, CRM, or Athenahealth domains;
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7;
