Client overview
The client runs a network of around 200 fitness clubs across the U.S. and Canada. Its digital ecosystem is built around two platforms, one for members and another for prospects. This project centered on relaunching the prospect site as the company’s digital hub for memberships and club information. The site would act as the first point of contact for people who are new to the brand.
The challenge
The previous prospect site no longer matched the client’s brand standards or digital marketing direction. Additionally, content management on the site required technical help, which slowed updates and limited marketing flexibility. Editors needed a simpler way to manage membership content across hundreds of clubs while keeping the experience consistent for users.
Our approach
Coherent Solutions joined the client’s AEM development program in 2019, working side by side with internal designers and engineers. The combined team included AEM and Java developers, QA specialists, and data engineers who supported integration with backend systems.
The first milestone was the homepage redesign, followed by membership and other pages that connected content directly to the service data. This ensured that membership options and benefits reflected what was actually available at each club, preventing inconsistencies and making it possible to manage hundreds of location-specific offerings without manual updates.
In each iteration of the site, the teams balanced visual improvements with long-term maintainability. The solution
The team rebuilt the prospect site on AEM using modular components and reusable templates that let editors manage content independently. They added a custom admin framework to manage membership data and built AEM-based tools to help editors configure benefits and options for hundreds of clubs, with no dependence on external systems.
The integrated setup ensured reliable sync between AEM and the client’s Java-based services, creating an accurate data flow for membership features and pricing. The updated design made the site easier to navigate and more inviting for prospective members while giving internal teams greater confidence in managing content at scale.

The rebuilt platform improved the user experience and internal efficiency. The new structure reduced manual work and made updates faster and more reliable across the client’s network.
The relaunched website serves as the client’s main digital channel for attracting new members and the foundation for continued digital growth.
